Inviting silence

Within each of us there is a silence – a silence as vast as the universe. We are afraid of it . . . and we long for it. And when we experience that silence, We remember who we are. -Gunilla Norris “Inviting Silence” Universal Principles of Meditation About Rachel ThomsonI am a part of the Internet Marketing team at Waterfront Properties & Club Communities , a family-owned business. Chia Seed Pudding

Ingredients 1 cup vanilla-flavored unsweetened almond milk 1 cup plain low-fat (2 percent) Greek yogurt 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (preferably grade B), plus 4 teaspoons for serving 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/4 cup chia seeds 1 pint strawberries, hulled and chopped 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted (not pictured) 1/8 teaspoon of Kosher Salt 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon Directions Wisk the almond milk, , yogurt, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, the vanilla, salt and cinnamon together in a medium size bowl. When blended, add the chia seeds, and let stand for 30 minutes. If the seeds settle, stir again, cover and refrigerate. After chilling for 8-10 hours, mix the nuts (optional) and remaining 4 teaspoons of maple syrup. For the effect I am presenting, spoon the mixture into mason jars, and top with berries.  This makes a great take to work breakfast or snack that will make the whole office jealous. Makes 2 to 4 servings depending on the size of Jar you are using. Funny Quote about kids & dogs

Just got a Cheerio stuck between my toes walking through the kitchen. Clearly my dog isn’t doing her part of the chores around here. Do it anyway

Posted by on Mar 11, 2015 in A Featured Post, Rachel's Blog

Do it anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse of selfish motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies. Succeed Anyway. If you are honest & sincere, people may deceive you. Be Honest and Sincere Anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight. Build It Anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous. Be Happy Anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world your best and it may never be enough. Give it all anyway. It was never for them Anyway. F Scott Fitgerald It’s never too late

Posted by on Mar 4, 2015 in A Featured Post, Quotes, Rachel's Blog

F Scott Fitgerald It’s never too late

For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again. – F Scott Fitgerald About Rachel ThomsonI am a part of the Internet Marketing team at Waterfront Properties & Club Communities , a family-owned business.
